Inevitable

She’ll leave you. He’ll leave you. Everyone leaves you at one point. Its inevitable. They say you can’t be replaced, won’t be replaced, but once they find someone better, you will. People get tired of you, bored of you, used to you. You wonder why it’s so hard to trust someone? Why it’s so hard to get attached to someone? In the end, everyone leaves. They always do.

They say that once you hit rock bottom, everything will get better since things cant get any worse.

They lied. Things don’t get better nor do they feel like they’re getting better. I feel like I’m just sitting there, engulfed in negativity until it eats me alive.

The Cardigans - After All

I miss being a child.

When we grow, we have a constant urge to fit into society and its norms. As a child, letters were nothing but things that make up words. As an older individual, a letter, or grade, means the world to us. What is money, but simple pieces of paper. What are materials, but little things that provide a source of temporary happiness. Things are too complex these days; I was much happier as a child. All I needed was simplicity. I didn’t have to fit into society, I didn’t have to please anybody but myself. I could keep myself happy without a dependence on anyone or anything, and currently, that happiness and independence is the only thing I yearn for.

I lay down in bed and try to fall asleep.

As I begin to fall out of consciousness, thoughts interject into my mind. Negative thoughts make my mind cringe, my emotions desire me to stop pondering, but it continues. Random thoughts flow in and out of my mind as I contemplate and analyze everything I can think of. My mind contours to these rapid thoughts, and begin to grow restless, as I lay here, begging for my mind to cut of the circulation of thoughts but it continues. The thoughts begin to grow bigger and louder, easily compared to a unsatisfied, belligerent child. The thoughts continue to flow until my mind knocks itself out of consciousness due to exhaustion.

They act like the man up in here.
That don’t count when your only real fan is a mirror.
